Advanced Thyroid and Carotid Doppler Training

A comprehensive training program focused on thyroid and carotid artery ultrasound imaging. Learn correct scanning protocols, anatomical landmarks, and pathology identification with practical, hands-on guidance. Ideal for sonographers and healthcare professionals aiming to improve diagnostic accuracy and clinical confidence.

THYROID

The thyroid gland, located in the anterior neck, is a butterfly-shaped endocrine gland responsible for producing hormones that regulate metabolism. Ultrasound of the thyroid asses its size, shape, and internal structure, looking for nodules or other abnormalities. This imaging technique helps in evaluating thyroid disorders and guiding further diagnostic procedure.

RIGHT THYROID LOBE

The right thyroid lobe forms the other half of the thyroid gland, also situated in the lower front of the neck. Ultrasound imaging of the right lobe is crucial for assessing its structure and identifying potential pathologies.

LEFT THYROID LOBE

This is the left side of the butterfly-shaped thyroid gland, located in the lower front of the neck. Ultrasound of the left lobe is performed to evaluate its size, texture, and detect any nodules, cysts, or other abnormalities.

ISTHMUS

The thyroid isthmus is the narrow band of tissue that connects the left and right lobes of the thyroid gland across the trachea. Ultrasound provides detailed images of the isthmus to check for any masses or enlargement in this central region.
