Echocardiogram

Hands-On Cardiac Ultrasound & Echocardiography Course

A specialized training program focused on cardiac ultrasound and echocardiography techniques. Learn proper probe positioning, cardiac anatomy, standard views, and pathology assessment through practical, hands-on instruction. Ideal for healthcare professionals seeking to enhance accuracy and confidence in cardiac imaging.

Echocardiogram (Echo)

Echocardiography, commonly known as an "echo" is a non-invasive ultrasound imaging test that uses high-frequency sound waves to create detailed pictures of the heart’s structure and function. During a visit, an ultrasound technologist will apply gel to the chest and use a transducer to send and receive sound waves, which are then converted into real-time images displayed on a monitor. This diagnostic tool is invaluable for assessing heart chamber size, wall motion, valve function, and blood flow dynamics, providing crucial information or diagnosing various cardiac conditions.

Doppler echocardiograph

Doppler echocardiograph is an integral component of the echo exam, utilizing the Doppler effect to measure the direction and velocity of blood flow within the heart and great vessels. This technique allows for evaluation of valve stenosis (narrowing) or regurgitation (leakage), detection of abnormal shunts, and assessment of pulmonary hypertension. By combining anatomical imaging with detailed blood flow analysis, Doppler provides essential function information that complements the structural assessment, contriuting to a comprehensive cardiac evaluation.
